Get to know me

Hi there — I’m so glad you’ve found your way here.
You might be wondering whether we’d be a good fit, and that’s an important question. So here’s a little about me, not just as a psychologist, but as a person.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with a heart for working with individuals and couples navigating relational distress, life transitions, and communication struggles. I’ve often been described by friends and colleagues as “exceptionally warm,” “intuitive,” and “radically real.” I have to admit — I have some pretty great people in my life who know me well.

I grew up in the wide skies and warm soul of New Mexico, and have lived all over the country, soaking in different landscapes, cultures, and communities. What drew me to psychology—and especially a more depth-oriented approach—was the beauty I found in real, healing human connection. From a young age, I’ve felt a deep empathy for others, a strong pull toward understanding what makes people who they are, and a desire to be with them in their healing.

Since becoming a mother, I’ve found that my empathy, intuition, and humor have only grown deeper and more grounded. I’ve also spent my life surrounded by animals—horses, goats, chickens, emus, llamas (yes, really)—and I’ve always felt a kinship with both people and creatures navigating life in all its complexity. I still ride horses (my beloved Martini), and believe that being in nature and in relationship with animals has taught me so much about presence, patience, and connection.

I know that the human experience can be tender and, at times, incredibly painful. Sometimes what we need most is a safe, compassionate space to unpack our emotional baggage, make sense of our story, and grieve what hasn’t turned out the way we hoped. That’s the kind of space I aim to create—one of curiosity, clarity, acceptance, and ultimately, hope.

In my clinical work, I draw most often from:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping clients live in alignment with their values, even when life is hard

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – particularly with couples, helping them reconnect and repair their emotional bond

  • Psychodynamic Therapy – exploring how our pasts inform our present, and how healing often begins in understanding

  • I’m also trained in Induced After-Death Communication (IADC), an emerging approach to grief that can offer profound comfort

My work is deeply inspired by the writings of Carl Jung and a lifelong fascination with the mysterious and meaningful. I love delighting in the synchronicities that show up when we pay close attention.

Outside of my work, I’m passionate about spiritual exploration, farm animal sanctuaries, world mysteries, Longhorns football, and above all—my family. You can usually find me in the saddle, chasing sunshine with my two young boys, or planning my next trip back to New Mexico.

If any part of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to connect. Wherever you are on your journey, you don’t have to go it alone.
